If you’ve got a kid who’s done with the boring stuff at most playgrounds, this is where you bring them. The pirate-themed climbing structure is genuinely challenging — we’re talking ziplines, real rock walls, and enough going on that the 10-and-up crowd actually stays engaged. It sits right along the tree line, so there’s natural shade even on hot days, and the shaded seating means parents aren’t baking while they wait. Restrooms and parking are easy, and the walking path through the woods gives you somewhere to go once the kids finally wear out. Honestly one of the better spots Lake Metroparks has put together in this part of Painesville.
