Recreation Park Playground

Locals around here will tell you Recreation Park is the spot, and honestly, they’re not wrong. The playground covers a solid range of ages — from the little ones on the toddler equipment to older kids who’ll keep themselves busy on the climbing structures, slides, and that accessible merry-go-round. It’s one of the few places in Broome County where inclusive design actually feels intentional rather than an afterthought. Parents get plenty of shade trees and benches to actually relax while keeping an eye on things, and when the kids burn out on the playground, there’s a basketball court, bike track, and walking path to pull them in a different direction. The whole place is well-kept, which in an urban park setting is saying something.
