Two toddler-friendly playgrounds make this one of the better spots in Hoffman Estates for families with little kids — you’re not just hoping one structure works for a two-year-old, there’s actually stuff designed for them. The lake nearby adds a nice touch, especially for a post-playground walk when the kids need to burn off whatever energy they have left. Bring a picnic, because the shaded tables are actually usable, and the restrooms are clean enough that you won’t dread needing them. Basketball, soccer, a bike track — older kids and adults have plenty to work with too, which makes it easy to keep everyone happy in one trip.
