Friendship Park

One of the better playgrounds in the Chelmsford area, this one actually has something for every age — toddlers dig the sandbox and swings, older kids go straight for the zipline, and the climbing structure keeps everyone busy in between. The merry-go-round is a nice touch you don’t see at every park anymore. There’s real shade from mature trees, decent restrooms, and enough bench space that you’re not fighting other parents for a spot. A soccer field and open grass field mean the older kids can roam while the little ones play, and the trails near the tree line are worth a quick explore if you’ve got the time. Grab a coffee or ice cream nearby after — it makes the whole trip feel less like a chore and more like an actual outing.
