One of the better playgrounds in the area, this wooden setup has some genuinely unique features you don’t see at your average park — worth the trip even if you’re coming from a few towns over. The shade trees do real work on hot Iowa summer days, which parents around here definitely appreciate. It’s right next to the dog park, so you can let the kids run loose while the dog gets some miles in too. Everything’s kept up well, which isn’t something you can say about every playground in northwest Iowa.
