The dinosaur theme at this Penfield playground isn’t just a coat of paint — kids can actually dig for bones in the sandbox, which buys parents at least twenty minutes of uninterrupted peace. There’s a good split between younger and older kid zones, so bringing a mixed-age group actually works here. Swings, slides, a seesaw, and a solid climbing structure cover the basics, and the shade trees and covered picnic tables make it genuinely comfortable for the adults stuck waiting. The open grass field is big enough to actually run around in, and the walking path gives you something to do if the little ones are still going strong after an hour. It’s a memorial playground, and you can feel that it was built with some real care behind it.
