Little Chocolate Bayou Playground

Honestly, this place has become the go-to spot in Port Lavaca pretty fast — and for good reason. It’s one of the largest playgrounds in the area, fully accessible, and clearly built with kids of all abilities in mind. The duck ponds are legitimately pretty, the walking path is well-kept, and there’s enough shaded seating that parents aren’t just standing around sweating. Covered picnic tables, restrooms, a water feature — it’s got everything you’d actually want. Port Lavaca needed this upgrade, and it delivered.
