Honestly, if you’re from around Menan you probably already know about this place, but it deserves more credit than it gets. West River Preserve is the kind of spot where you actually want to linger — the property backs up against forest and trail access that makes it feel way bigger than it looks on a map. Families come out here for reunions, picnics, just to let the kids run loose in a setting that doesn’t feel like a parking lot with some swings bolted in. It’s a genuine nature preserve, so the scenery does a lot of the heavy lifting. All ages, no problem — there’s enough open space and natural terrain to keep everyone from toddlers to grandparents reasonably entertained.
