The trails are well-marked, which matters more than people realize when you’re deep in the woods and trying to keep track of where you left your rig. There’s real mud here — not the decorative kind — plus some decent water crossings that school-age kids absolutely lose their minds over. Clean restrooms and solid parking mean you’re not roughing it completely, which makes it a lot easier to talk the whole family into coming out. It’s one of those spots that locals know about but don’t always feel like broadcasting.
