Shell Lake’s courts are low-key one of the better spots in the area to get a pickleball or tennis game going. The courts are kept clean, which honestly isn’t something you can say about every small-town setup around here. You’ve got the lake right there in the background, so even if you’re waiting for a court, it’s not a bad place to hang out. The crowd tends to be welcoming — regulars will actually talk to you and show newcomers the ropes without making it weird.
