Ontonagon Township Park and Campground

Right on Lake Superior, so the views are the real draw here — you’re not going to find a better spot to watch the water in Ontonagon. The sandy beach is the kind you actually want to walk on, not just look at from a distance. Facilities are kept up well, which honestly isn’t a given at campgrounds this size, and the staff genuinely seem to care about the place. There’s a basketball court and walking path if you need something to do besides stare at the lake, but most people don’t.
