Sitka Street Park

Right on the edge of some great trail access, this quiet neighborhood park punches above its weight for families in Anchorage. The open grass field is genuinely big enough to kick a ball around or let the little ones burn off energy without bumping into each other, and the swings and climbing structure keep the 2-to-12 crowd busy while adults claim the picnic tables and fire up the BBQ. Restrooms and parking make it way more practical than a lot of spots in the city — no hauling everything a quarter mile from your car. Winter doesn’t shut it down either, since that open space works just as well for snow play when the Anchorage cold rolls in. A solid local park that doesn’t get too crowded, which honestly is half the appeal.
