Pleasant Playground

The water feature here is a genuine lifesaver on a hot Philly summer day — kids ages 3 to 12 absolutely lose their minds for it, and the spray area is well-maintained compared to a lot of city spots. There’s a basketball court if your older ones need to burn off extra energy, and the whole place stays noticeably clean, which honestly isn’t something you can say about every playground in the neighborhood. Benches and restrooms make it workable for a longer visit without the usual scramble. Heads up on parking though — it can get frustrating depending on when you show up, so earlier in the morning is your best bet. This one has that real community feel to it, the kind where you start recognizing the same families week after week.
