Landa Playground

Right next to Landa Library, this spot has become a go-to for families on the north side who know what they’re doing. The shade situation here is genuinely good — mature trees cover most of the area, which matters a lot when San Antonio summers hit hard. There are two separate play zones, one enclosed section with baby swings for the little ones and a bigger climbing structure with swings for older kids, so you’re not constantly pulling a toddler off equipment meant for a ten-year-old. Picnic tables are actually shaded here, not just baked in the sun like at some parks, and the open grass field gives kids room to run once they’re done with the structures. A solid pick for the 2-12 crowd, especially if you want to make a half-day of it.
