Glen Eden Pilot Park Playground

Small but solid, this little spot sits right along the walking path and works perfectly as a mid-walk pit stop when the kids start losing steam. It’s geared toward the younger crowd — think toddlers and kids up to around 8 — so don’t expect anything too elaborate, but that’s kind of the point. Raleigh has plenty of massive playgrounds if that’s what you’re after; Glen Eden Pilot Park is more for a quick 20-minute burn before you finish your loop.
