T. John Labrum Memorial Park Playground

One of the nicer parks to pop up in Taylorsville in recent years — the playground here is genuinely large, with enough going on to keep kids busy for a good stretch. The surrounding neighborhood stays pretty calm, so you’re not dealing with a ton of noise or foot traffic, which makes it a solid spot if you just want to actually relax while the kids run around. There’s a big open grass field that works well for pickup games, flying a kite, or just letting dogs stretch their legs. The rentable pavilion is a legitimate option for birthday parties or family gatherings, and the walking path gives adults something to do besides stand around. Everything feels well-kept — no broken equipment, no trash — which honestly isn’t something you can say about every park in the area.
