Rosemeade Park

Locals with kids know this one — Rosemeade Park in Carrollton pulls off the rare trick of keeping everyone happy, from toddlers on the swings to older kids who’ll claim the climbing structure for an hour straight. The merry-go-round is a legit hit, and the musical equipment gives younger ones something to mess around with while siblings do their thing on the slides. Soft surfacing underfoot means you’re not wincing every time someone takes a tumble. Parents get shaded seating with solid sightlines, clean restrooms, and picnic tables that actually get used — plus there’s a bike track, walking path, and a soccer field if the crew needs to burn more energy. The wooded surroundings give it a little breathing room from the suburbs, which honestly makes it feel like more of a destination than your average neighborhood park.
