Clinton River Park Playground

If you’re from Sterling Heights and haven’t been out here yet, you’re missing one of the more low-key spots in the area. The climbing structure and slides keep kids in the 5–12 range busy while you actually get to sit at a picnic table under real shade and decompress. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t feel overrun on a Saturday, which honestly says a lot. The walking and bike paths that run alongside the Clinton River are the real draw for a lot of families — you can easily stretch a playground trip into a solid hour-long trail loop with the pond nearby. Pack lunch, bring the bikes, and plan to stay a while.
