Cedar Key is already one of those places that feels like Florida used to be, and getting out on a paddleboard here just makes it even better. The water is calm enough for kids and first-timers, but interesting enough that you’re not bored after ten minutes — there’s always a bird, a manatee, or a weird little mangrove channel to investigate. Locals and visitors tend to mix pretty naturally out on the water, which gives the whole thing a relaxed, no-attitude vibe you don’t always find at busier spots.
