If you’ve got kids under 8 and want somewhere low-key, this little park in Lenexa is worth knowing about. The equipment is newer — slides, swings with a baby swing included, and a solid climbing structure — all sitting on artificial turf, which honestly makes a difference when toddlers inevitably wipe out. Picnic tables are right there if you want to make an afternoon of it. The walking path connects to some nice trail access near the tree line, so older siblings or adults have something to do while the little ones burn energy. It’s a quiet spot, not a scene, which is exactly the point.
