If you live in Hollywood and haven’t checked out Garfield Community Center yet, you’re missing out on one of the better spots in the area. The skate park gets a solid crowd of kids and teens, and the soccer field sees real use — not just the occasional pickup game. What actually keeps people coming back is how well the place is maintained; it’s consistently clean, which isn’t something you can say about every public facility around here. The staff are genuinely friendly and seem to actually care about the space, which goes a long way. They also host events regularly, so it functions as a true community gathering point rather than just a rec field with a parking lot.
