Playground | Charles F. Kennedy Park

This park gets overlooked by people outside Union City, which honestly keeps it from getting too crowded. The play structure here is genuinely one of the more creative setups you’ll find in the area — there’s a pretend bank counter built into it, which sounds random but kids absolutely lose their minds over it. Slides, swings, and a solid climbing structure round things out, and it handles the full 2-to-12 range without feeling like it’s trying too hard to please everyone. The whole place is kept up well, which isn’t something you can say about every East Bay park. Plenty of space to spread out, so it works just as well for a low-key Tuesday afternoon as it does for a birthday party.
