Lakewood Park Playground

Honestly one of the better neighborhood parks in Prosper for families with a wide age range — the two separate play areas mean toddlers and older kids aren’t constantly in each other’s way. There’s a solid variety of slides, and the mature shade trees actually do their job on a hot Texas afternoon, which isn’t something you can say about every park around here. When the kids need a break from the playground, there’s a basketball court, soccer field, and open grass that gives everyone room to spread out. The walking path loops the park nicely, and being close to trails means you can easily extend the outing if you’re up for it. Benches and shaded seating make it a place where parents can actually sit comfortably instead of just hovering.
