Thunderbird Park Playground

Honestly, the playground itself is pretty small — don’t come expecting a sprawling setup — but the equipment is newer and in solid shape, which counts for a lot out here in the desert heat. The woodchip surface is decent underfoot, and there are benches if you need to sit and watch the kids. Where Thunderbird Park really earns its keep is everything around it: a basketball court and open grass field mean older kids and adults actually have something to do too. Just know that shade is minimal, so early morning or late afternoon visits are the move in summer.
