Evergreen Park – Playground

The metal slides alone are worth the trip — real sheet metal, not that plastic stuff you see everywhere else. Kids go noticeably faster on them, which they absolutely love. The climbing structure has some genuinely quirky details built in, like a giant bolt and ball bearings that make it feel more like a discovery than just a playground. There are hidden ladders tucked in if your kid likes to explore and figure things out on their own. It’s one of the more original setups you’ll find in Des Moines.
