Accessible Playground

If you’ve got a kid who uses a wheelchair or just needs a more thoughtful setup, this Rochester playground is genuinely worth the trip. The swings are accessible, the merry-go-round is designed so everyone can actually use it, and there’s a tire swing thrown in for good measure. What I really like is the musical equipment — instruments mounted at different heights so kids of all abilities can play around with them. The rubberized surface makes a real difference too, especially for little ones who are still finding their footing. Restrooms on-site, closable gate, sensory area — it’s one of those spots where someone clearly put some thought into who shows up.
