If you’re crossing between the US and Mexico around this stretch of the border, skip the usual chaos and take the ferry instead — there’s genuinely nothing else like it anywhere in the world. It’s a crossing, yes, but it’s also just a good experience, which isn’t something you can say about most border transit. The staff actually seem to care about moving people through efficiently, which you notice pretty fast.
