Old Forest Lane

Right on the edge of the Old Forest State Natural Area, this little spot in Overton Park is less about the playground equipment and more about where it sits. You’re basically at the doorstep of one of the last urban old-growth forests in the country, which is pretty wild when you think about it. Kids who get bored can disappear into the trails in about thirty seconds, and honestly that’s the whole point of coming here. It’s low-key, shady, and the kind of place Memphis locals know about but don’t always talk about.
