Casperson Beach Playground

If you haven’t been shark teeth hunting at Casperson, you’re missing out on one of Venice’s best-kept Saturday morning traditions. The beach itself is the real draw — long, quiet, and way less crowded than Sharky’s or the main public beach. There’s a BBQ area that actually gets used, clean restrooms (genuinely clean, which isn’t something you can say about every beach park around here), and a nice walking path if you want to stretch your legs between fossil finds. Bring a sifter, pack a cooler, and plan to stay a while.
