Stewart Family Park

Right in the middle of Evansville, this park punches above its weight for a neighborhood spot. The climbing structure keeps older kids busy while the swings and slides cover the younger set — solid, classic setup that doesn’t try too hard. Parents can actually see the whole play area from the benches and picnic tables, which matters more than people admit. There’s open grass for running around or kicking a ball, and parking is easy, so you’re not circling the block. It’s the kind of place locals default to on a random Tuesday afternoon.
