Fillmore Lava Tubes

Out near Meadow, this spot is honestly unlike anything else in the area — real lava tubes you can actually explore, not just look at from behind a fence. Kids who are into geology or just love crawling around in weird underground spaces will be obsessed. It’s not a playground in any traditional sense, so don’t show up expecting swings, but that’s kind of the point. Bring a flashlight, wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty, and give yourself more time than you think you’ll need.
