Maple Grove Shelter and Playground

If you’re a Chardon local, you probably already know this one. The shelter makes it a solid pick even when the weather’s being typically northeast Ohio about things — grab a picnic table and you’re set regardless. Kids have the usual slides and swings to keep them busy, plus there’s a good stretch of open grass for running around or kicking a ball. What sets it apart is how close it sits to the forest trails, so you can tack on a short walk if the little ones still have energy to burn. Works for pretty much all ages, and the layout is accessible enough that nobody gets left out.
