Colt Park Playground

Right in the middle of Colt Park, this playground gets the job done for families in the South End without a lot of fuss. It’s not going to blow anyone away with fancy equipment, but that’s kind of the point — it’s a neighborhood spot, easy to pop into on a weekday afternoon. The park itself carries a lot of Hartford history, and there’s enough open space around the playground to let kids run off some energy beyond the equipment. If you’re already heading to Colt Park for anything else, it’s a natural stop.
