If you’re local to Huntly, you already know Cooper Park is one of those places you end up at more weekends than you planned. The play area covers all the bases — swings, slides, a merry-go-round — and the shallow river section is genuinely brilliant on a warm day, kids absolutely love getting their feet wet. There’s a basketball court and a bike track too, so older ones don’t get bored while the little ones do their thing. It sits right on the edge of some decent trails with a pond nearby, so it never feels like a typical urban park even though it’s right in town. One of Huntly’s better-kept secrets, honestly.
