Gilvenbank Park

If you’re local to Glenrothes, chances are you already know Gilvenbank — it’s the kind of park people end up at on a Sunday without really planning it. The enclosed play area covers all the bases for kids: slides, swings, climbing frames, and tunnels, with good sightlines so you’re not constantly chasing after toddlers. Beyond the play area there’s a basketball court, a football pitch, and open grass for anyone who just wants to run about. What really makes it worth the trip, though, are the woodland walking paths that push out toward the trees — proper trail-feel without having to drive anywhere. Picnic tables, parking, and enough shade to actually sit comfortably in summer round it out nicely.
