Lawmill Gardens Playpark

Honestly, the setting here does most of the heavy lifting — it’s tucked right alongside the trail network with proper woodland around it, which makes it feel like more of an adventure than your average park visit. The climbing structure is geared toward older kids, so don’t bother dragging toddlers out here expecting much. The shade trees are a genuine plus on the rare Scottish sunny day. Worth knowing though: the equipment has seen better days and could really do with some attention from the council. If your 8 or 9 year old is the type who’d rather be poking around near trees and a stream than sitting on a swing, they’ll probably get more out of the surroundings than the play gear itself.
