Beecraigs Playpark

If you’re going to make a day of it, this is the spot. Tucked inside Beecraigs Country Park just outside Linlithgow, the playpark sits right between the forest trails and the loch, so the kids can burn energy on the climbing structure and slides while you figure out whether you’ve got time for a walk after. The sandbox tends to keep the little ones occupied longer than you’d expect, and the whole setup is open enough that you’re not constantly craning your neck to find them. There’s a BBQ area and picnic tables, which means people genuinely do make a full afternoon of it — not just a quick stop. Parking, loos, and baby changing all sorted too, which honestly makes the difference when you’re wrangling multiple kids.
