Auchinstarry Roman Play Park

Right next to the old quarry, this one’s got proper scenery that makes it feel a bit more special than your average afternoon out. The play area covers the bases well — swings, a climbing structure, and a water feature that’ll keep the younger ones occupied longer than you’d expect. There’s a bike track and walking path too, so older kids and adults don’t end up just standing around waiting. Picnic tables mean you can actually make a day of it, and the parking situation is decent enough that you won’t be circling for twenty minutes before you’ve even started. Good shout for families with a mix of ages, anywhere from toddlers up to around twelve.
