Hogganfield Park

If you’re a Glaswegian looking for a proper outdoor day out without driving halfway across the country, Hogganfield delivers. The loch is the real draw — grab a bench, watch the birds do their thing, and let the kids loose on the slides and in the sandbox while you actually get five minutes of peace. There’s a water feature that younger ones go absolutely daft for, and the open grass means they can run off the rest of their energy after. Parking’s decent, the toilets are there when you need them, and the walking path round the loch is an easy one that suits everyone from toddlers to grandparents. Accessibility could do with some attention in spots, but honestly it’s one of the better urban parks Glasgow’s got.
