Bowhill House & Grounds

The grounds here are genuinely something else — proper countryside, with lochs, forest paths, and enough space that you actually feel like you’ve escaped somewhere. The play area has climbing structures and slides that’ll keep kids busy long enough for adults to sit at the picnic tables and breathe for a bit. Shade trees dotted around mean it’s not a complete sweat-fest on warmer days, which is a bonus in summer. The walking paths loop through beautiful estate land, so once the kids are done on the equipment you can wander without needing a plan. Honestly, it’s one of those spots near Selkirk where you show up for an hour and end up staying half the day.
