Strathaven park Ballon Festival

The balloon festival here is genuinely one of the better free spectacles you’ll find in Lanarkshire — worth timing your visit around if you can. Kids go absolutely mad for the miniature train that loops through the park, and honestly the adults seem just as into it. The pond adds a nice bit of extra to the day if you fancy getting out on the water. It’s the kind of place locals come back to year after year, and you can see why.
