Wanlockhead Swingpark

Sitting up in Scotland’s highest village, this little swingpark punches above its weight purely on scenery alone. The views out over the surrounding hills are genuinely hard to beat, and on a clear day you’ll want to stay longer than planned. It’s just swings, aye, but sometimes that’s all you need — especially when the kids are happy and you’ve got that kind of backdrop to stare at. Quiet is an understatement up here; you’re more likely to hear the wind than another family. If you’re passing through Wanlockhead anyway, it’s absolutely worth a stop.
