Swings and not much else, but sometimes that’s all you need. South Play Park is one of those no-frills spots that gets the job done for a quick run-around with younger kids. Newcastle has flashier playgrounds, sure, but there’s something straightforward about a place that doesn’t overthink it. Worth knowing about if you’re passing through the area and need to burn off some energy fast.
