Pease Park

Locals know Pease Park as one of those spots that quietly does a lot — the gardens along the main road are genuinely well-kept and worth a slow wander. Kids tend to head straight for the play train and sandbox, and there’s enough here to keep them occupied while you grab a bench and actually sit for a minute. The castle feature gives it a bit of character you don’t expect from a town park. Good sheltered spots too, which matters more than people admit when you’re on the North Yorkshire coast.
