Shawl Playground

If you know Leyburn, you’ll know The Shawl already has some of the best views in the Dales — and the playground up here makes the most of that setting. It’s had a recent update and it shows, everything feels fresh and well looked after, which honestly isn’t always a given with community parks. There’s a decent spread of equipment that works for different ages, plus an open grass field and picnic tables if you want to make a proper afternoon of it. The kind of place locals are quietly proud of.
