Romanby Park

If you’ve got a kid obsessed with RC planes, this is genuinely one of the better spots in Northallerton to let them loose. The field is properly large — not one of those poky little patches where you’re constantly worrying about hitting a fence. It’s a dedicated playground area rather than a general park, so bear in mind dogs aren’t allowed, which actually keeps things a bit calmer. Good honest open space, and the kind of place locals tend to know about without it being particularly signposted.
