Glen Gardens Play Area

Tucked away enough that it hasn’t been completely overrun by the whole of York, Glen Gardens is one of those spots locals quietly keep to themselves. The play area covers the basics well — slides, swings, and a seesaw — and everything’s kept in decent nick, which you genuinely can’t take for granted. Kids aged 2 to 12 will find enough to keep them busy, and when they need a break, the picnic tables and open grass field do the job nicely. There’s a basketball court too, so older ones aren’t left kicking their heels. Parking and toilets on site makes the whole thing a lot less stressful than it could be — easy afternoon sorted.
