Pontefract Park Playground

The refurb they did here made a real difference — it’s one of the better playgrounds in the area now, with a zipline that actually gets the older kids interested instead of standing around looking bored. Younger ones are well catered for too, and the fully fenced layout means you’re not constantly chasing toddlers toward the water. Speaking of which, the lake nearby is a nice bonus for a post-play walk if you want to stretch the visit out. Shade trees, benches, and decent loos mean you can realistically stay a couple of hours without suffering for it. The open grass field alongside gives kids somewhere to burn off whatever energy the climbing frame didn’t take care of.
