The pirate ship setup here is genuinely well done — not just a token nautical colour scheme, it actually gives kids something to climb around and explore. There are slides, swings, and some decent climbing obstacles that’ll keep them busy for a good while. The whole thing is fenced off, which makes a real difference if you’ve got little ones who like to bolt. It sits right next to Lovers Walk, so you can easily tack on a proper stroll along the river before or after. Honestly one of the better spots in Matlock for a relaxed afternoon out.
