Westport Lake Playground

Right on the edge of Westport Lake, this is one of those spots where you can genuinely spend a full morning without anyone complaining. The water feature goes down well with the little ones, and there’s enough open grass around that kids aged 2 to 9 can just run about while you catch your breath. Ducks on the lake, a café nearby when you need a brew, and proper parking so you’re not circling the streets — it all adds up. The walking path around the lake is worth doing even with a pushchair, and the toilets are actually decent, which matters more than people admit.
